Isopropanol is a highly concentrated alcohol, which is often used as a substitute for ethanol. The uses are very versatile. Isopropanol is in many disinfectant solutions, because it can quickly and easily clean surfaces. The advantage is that isopropanol evaporates very quickly and thus leaves behind no residue. Isopropanol can be used as a solvent for fats, oils, resins, adhesives, tar, silicone, paint and ink.
